Outdoor Adventure Club meetup

On May 15, 2010, members of the Outdoor Adventure Club and Georgia Canoe Association went paddling on the mill pond at George L. Smith State Park. They paddled the entire length of the 412-acre pond, with a stop at the heron and egret rookery.

On Saturday, Apr. 3rd, Mill Pond Kayak will have a booth at “Another Bloomin’ Festival” in Metter from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. We’ll have some kayaks on display, be handing out brochures, and have shirts, caps, and gift certificates available for purchase. This would be a great EASTER BASKET STUFFER, so come see us!

Ogeechee River Trip

On Friday 03/19/10, a group of six paddled from Coleman Lake near Midville to the Bull Hole at Herndon. It was a perfect day and we saw many beautiful sites. It took 7-1/2 hours to drift the distance of about 14 miles.
