With ten single kayaks and five tandem kayaks available, Mill Pond Kayak caters to small groups or large: couples, families, church groups, reunions, company picnics, birthday parties, scout troops, school groups, ball teams, etc. Tours are available for just one person at a time, but as the group size increases the average cost per person goes down - so the more the merrier! All of the equipment you’ll need is provided, including the kayak, paddle and PFD vest. There’s plenty of room for a small cooler if you want to bring drinks and snacks. If you have a boat of your own, you are welcome to tag along at no additional charge. But if you want to offer a small gratuity or purchase a souvenir t-shirt or cap, that’s fine, too!
Photographs will be taken during your tour and shared with you at no additional charge. Small children and dogs are welcome to sit in the floor between your legs and ride for free. Organized youth groups such as schools, scouts, ball teams, or church youth are eligible for a discount of $5 per youth participant, plus one adult group leader may paddle for free.
Advance reservations are required. Tours are available any time during daylight hours Monday through Saturday and beginning after lunch on Sundays. Inquire by phone, text message, email, or Facebook to see what dates and times are available. A typical tour takes about 2-1/2 hours with an opportunity for a rest stop about halfway, but the duration can be tailored to suit your needs.
More experienced paddlers may want to inquire about opportunities for trips on the nearby Ogeechee and Ohoopee Rivers. Prices vary depending on location and length.
